A blueberry smoothie makes a great breakfast for young and old alike!

Everybody’s in a hurry to get to school and work. When your family is on the run, how many times do you obtain turned down on your breakfast offer? An amazing number of Americans skip breakfast in total. A blueberry smoothie is pretty and tasty. If Mom or Dad is concerned with arthritis or just needs to up the fiber content of their menus, this recipe will do the trick. These fruits, particularly blueberries and cherries hold anti-inflammatory components, which can assist alleviate swelling with arthritis. A cup of coffee and they are off. Blueberry Smoothie

½ cup each of blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and dark red cherries

1 large orange, peeled

1 quart of vanilla, strawberry or peach ice cream

(or)

1 quart of plain yogurt, if you have a preference

Mix it all up in the blender and you are done. Variations on this recipe comprise substituting 2 cups of orange, peach or strawberry-banana juice for the ice cream or yogurt. If you have lidded plastic cups and straws, you can pour each serving and hand them out as they’re walking out the door. You may also alternate one of the Torani(TM) flavoring syrups, in your much loved flavor, for the grenadine. If you are using as an arthritis medication, the recipe above is your best bet. Do not attempt to make this a do-ahead, as smoothies tend to get runny if they sit around for a while. This blueberry smoothie recipe is so rapid and simple to make, this is a breakfast for four that you can compose in 15 minutes! It is beautiful, nutritious and delicious. What more can you ask from a healthy, filling breakfast?
