Bacon Wrapped Scallops

December 14th, 2009 · No Comments · General Recipes

Going to the Chinese food buffet is one of my favorite things. I know that it is harmful for me, but it was a pleasant treat one time each couple weeks. Everybody seems to have one particular dish that they craved. For my father, it was the sweet and sour pork; and for my mother, it was the chow mein. In my case, it was the appetizers. A scallop wrapped in bacon was my favorite dish of all. Obviously, the bacon wrapped scallops that they served there were not of the best.

Usually they had been sitting out for hours and were very saturated with grease. They were soggy, dry and loaded with fat. However, they were still utterly mouth-watering. At that time I was decided that bacon wrapped scallops must be the best dish in the world. If the poorly prepared ones that had been sitting out for a minute were as good as those were, then a real bacon wrapped scallops recipe must be extremely out of this world.

Regrettably, I could not come across anyplace serving good bacon wrapped scallops in my town. We live out in the boonies. To inform you the reality, it is a wonder that we even have a Chinese buffet here. That is possibly the most foreign food you can get. There is one imperfect Italian place in town and in addition that; it is all diners as much as the eye can see.

Fragility such as bacon wrapped scallops is just exceptional. Fortunately, we do have the Internet. It has many good bacon wrapped scallops recipes. Several different things you can do with it – it is one of the remarkable things about this meticulous seafood recipe. Basically it is always the same; but the type of bacon you employ, the method you practice the scallops, and the seasonings – if any – make a big variation.

For instance, a few people have a preference to sauté the scallops in wine previous to wrapping them in bacon. The bacon is cooked alone for a short time, and some of the fat is drained. When you wrap the scallop in bacon and finish the cooking, it gives a more fragile taste. Other people favor to simply fry the two mutually from the beginning. So they get a greasy, full flavored dish. It is absolutely worth experimenting with. I have never come about with a technique to cook it that was not extremely appetizing. There are not too countless things I can say that about! Visit www.free-atkins-recipes.com for further information.
